Privacy policy

Contain. does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
What stays on your device
Your reading list, reading progress, listening position, settings, and any articles you report are stored only on your device. They are never sent anywhere, and they are removed when you delete the app.
What the app downloads
To work, Contain. downloads data. It does not upload any.
- The wiki corpus and its updates, from our server. We don't keep logs that identify who downloads them.
- Article images and some pages, loaded directly from the SCP Foundation wiki and the sites its articles embed. Those sites receive your IP address, as any website you visit does, under their own privacy policies.
Links you open in an article go to your browser.
Reporting an article
When you report an article, Contain. hides it on your device and opens an email to the SCP Foundation wiki's staff in your own mail app. The email goes from your account, and only if you send it. Contain. sends nothing itself.
Listening
Read-aloud uses your device's own speech voices. Nothing you listen to leaves the device.
Children
Contain. is rated for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
